One of the top-ranked courses in Thailand and Asia, having hosted European and Asian Tour events, with a beautiful and challenging layout set in a valley.

Overview

Black Mountain Golf Club was founded by Swedish businessman Stig Notlöv, who transformed a former pineapple plantation at the foot of the Hua Hin hills into a championship-caliber course. Designed by Phil Ryan of Pacific Coast Design, it first opened in 2007. The layout follows the natural rolling terrain and hills, with wide fairways interspersed with water features and strategically placed bunkers. In 2016, a West course of a further 9 holes was added, bringing the total to 27 holes (East, North, West).

Highlights & Signature Holes

  • The signature hole is the par-5 6th on the East course, which plays downhill all the way to a green fronted by a large lake.
  • The par-4 4th features an island-style green surrounded by water, challenging your shot placement.
  • The par-3 11th has a waterfall to the left of the green, adding both beauty and pressure.
  • It has been recognized as one of Thailand’s finest courses and has frequently hosted Asian and European Tour tournaments.

Who it suits

Ideal for serious golfers who want to test themselves on a competition-grade course, as well as trip groups looking for a world-class course to be the highlight of their Hua Hin visit.

Before you go
