Banyan Golf Club
ResortPrachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin) · Hua Hin–Prachuap
A scenic resort course in the Hua Hin area, once named Best New Course, that is fun to play and suited to both holiday rounds and serious practice.
Overview
Banyan Golf Club opened in October 2008 on land that was once an old pineapple plantation in Hua Hin. It was designed by Pirapon Namatra (Op), a Thai golf-course architect from Golf East. The layout follows the natural rolling terrain, earning it a reputation as one of Thailand’s most nature-integrated courses. Nearly every hole opens up views of both the mountains and the Gulf of Thailand. The course has since been renamed Pineapple Valley Golf Club.
Highlights & Signature Holes
- The signature hole is the par-3 15th, playing about 139 yards from an elevated tee with a panoramic view down to the sea, stretching as far as Singtoh Island in the Gulf of Thailand.
- Each hole has six sets of tees, letting you adjust the difficulty to suit your skill and tee selection.
- It won Best New Course in Asia-Pacific for 2009 from the readers of Asian Golf Monthly and has consistently ranked among Asia’s top courses.
Who it suits
It suits golfers who want a serious round amid mountain-and-sea scenery, and with its multiple tee sets it caters to everyone from beginners to low-handicappers. It is a must-have on any Hua Hin golf-trip list.
Before you go
The course is not far from central Hua Hin and is an easy onward trip from Bangkok. The most comfortable, cool weather comes in the winter (November–February), which is high season, so book your tee times in advance, especially on weekends.
