Host of the Honda LPGA Thailand, this is a classic layout upgraded to tour standard. Close to Pattaya and easy to reach.

Overview

Siam Country Club Pattaya (Old Course) opened around 1970–1971 and is regarded as the very first private golf course in Thailand. It was originally designed by Japanese architect Ichisuke Izumi. Later, in 2006–2007, the course was closed for a complete overhaul by Schmidt-Curley Design (Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley), who largely preserved the original layout while elevating every element to world-class championship standard, including a conversion of the fairways to seashore paspalum grass.

Highlights & Signature Holes

  • The undulating greens with their complex slopes are a signature feature that makes putting extremely challenging.
  • Curving fairways, high-lipped bunkers, and water hazards added during the renovation demand careful shot planning.
  • It has been the home course of the Honda LPGA Thailand since 2007 and has been ranked among the world’s great courses by Golf Digest.

Who it suits

Ideal for golfers who want to test their game against a genuine tournament-caliber course, particularly intermediate to advanced players, as well as golfers on a Pattaya trip who want to experience a championship course where the world’s top pros have competed.

Before you go

The course is located in Chonburi province, not far from downtown Pattaya, and is easy to reach from Bangkok. Because it is a highly popular venue with several courses in the same complex, booking your round in advance is recommended, especially during the high season (November–February).
