Shot Scope splits its watches into two lines — the stats line with tags on the grip end, like the V3 and the X5, and the pure-GPS line, which is where the G6 sits. It does not record your shots, and in exchange it costs less and asks nothing of you before a round.
What separates the G6 from other GPS watches near its price is full hole maps — an overhead view of the whole hole rather than a bare number to the green. That matters on a course you have not played, or on a hole where you cannot see the green from the tee. Hazards, layup points and dogleg yardages are all there too, with a scorecard built in.
The other thing worth weighing is that there are no subscription fees, which Shot Scope states on the product page itself. Several competitors keep green contours or detailed maps behind an annual plan, and over the life of the watch that gap adds up to more than the difference in sticker price.
On hardware: the MIP screen reads well in sunlight but 176 × 176 pixels is noticeably coarse next to the colour touchscreens on pricier watches. The case is 44 mm across, 10 mm thick and 42 g, with GPS, Galileo and GLONASS reception and a claimed 2+ rounds of GPS battery.
Buy this if you want distances and a picture of the hole on your wrist without a monthly bill and without a stats system. Skip it if you want strokes gained and per-club distances — that is the V3 or the X5, both of which ship with tracking tags.
On price: the US product page lists USD 179.99 (checked 6 August 2026), but we could not find a Thai seller or a citable Thai price, so this page carries no baht figure. We will add one when there is a source for it.
