The aimLITE S is GOLFBUDDY’s entry laser, sitting below the GB LASER 2S PRO in the same lineup (USD 149.99 against USD 219.99 on the brand’s US site). Despite the similar name it is not the GB LASER lite listed on GOLFBUDDY Global either — that one has a different published spec sheet (6×, 5–800 yards, CR2 battery, 143 g), so we treat them as separate products.

The design decision worth calling out is the external slope switch. The recurring annoyance with slope-capable lasers is that before a competition round you cannot tell from the outside whether compensation is off; you have to power it up and read the display. Putting the switch on the body means you and a rules official can both see the state at a glance. There is also a magnet moulded into the body for cart mounting, and the battery is a built-in lithium cell charged over USB-C — so no hunting for a CR2 when it dies mid-round, which is still what the GB LASER 2S PRO asks of you.

Optically it is 6.5× with a 24 mm objective, ranging 5 to 1,000 yards with a ±30° angle scope. At 106 × 75 × 42 mm and 177 g it is a conventionally sized rangefinder, not a pocketable one like the aim QUANTUM, which is 143 g and smaller in every dimension.

Specs we could not source: the official aimLITE S page does not state accuracy in yards, measuring speed in seconds, display type, water resistance rating, actuations per charge, box contents or warranty terms. We have left all of those out. GOLFBUDDY publishes them for its other lasers, so the gap is on this page rather than on our side — if water resistance or a stated accuracy figure is what decides it for you, treat that as unknown, not as pass or fail.

Buy this if you want a first laser on a modest budget, use nothing beyond aim–press–read, and value USB-C charging plus a slope switch whose state you can see from the outside. Skip it if you play through the rainy season and want a manufacturer-stated water rating, if you actually need something that fits a trouser pocket (that is the aim QUANTUM), or if you want wind data, club recommendations and app syncing — for that, look at the Bushnell Pro X3+ LINK.

On price: the only citable figure is the USD 149.99 on the brand’s US product page (golfbuddyamerica.com, checked 6 August 2026). In Thailand we found no official distributor and no price on a real retailer’s own site — the brand’s Dealer Information page lists US shops only. So this page carries no baht figure, and we do not convert the dollar price, because landed Thai pricing never matches a currency conversion. We will add a number when there is a source for one.
