The i4 is FlightScope’s only laser rangefinder, and it does not try to win on magnification or lock speed. It plays the game the brand is better at: turning a raw yardage into a distance you can actually play. The unit ranges from 5 to 1,000 yards at ±1 yard, then hands the number to the FS Golf app, which factors in live local conditions — air density, viscosity, temperature and pressure — to work out what the shot really plays. That matters more than most people expect in Thailand’s heat and humidity.

If you are comparing it with the Bushnell Pro X3+ LINK already listed here, the interesting difference is how each one earns its club recommendation. Bushnell’s LINK needs a Foresight Sports launch monitor before it can use your real carry numbers. The i4 opens that up two ways: import a CSV from any launch monitor regardless of brand, or — if you own no launch monitor at all — use the Smart Gapping tool, enter one or two carry distances you are confident about, and let it generate a full-bag table with ball speed, launch angle and spin. In other words the feature is usable on day one without buying anything else.

The fundamentals are all present: slope compensation with a toggle you can switch off for competition, user-selected wind direction paired with live wind speed from nearby weather stations, a built-in magnet for the cart rail, 180 g in the hand, and a battery FlightScope rates at up to 500 hours per charge (roughly 15,000 clicks), refilled in about two hours over USB-C.

Two limitations you have to accept. First, it does not work alone — effective distance, wind and club recommendations all live in FS Mode, which needs a phone with a data connection. On a course with no signal it reverts to being an ordinary laser. Second, it is rated IPX4, which means it shrugs off light rain rather than a downpour; through the Thai rainy season, keep the pouch handy.

On price: FlightScope lists USD 499 on its own store (flightscope.com, checked 29 July 2026). The Thai reseller named on FlightScope’s own distributor page is GLOF Co., Ltd (Golfing Ground Performance Center, Thaniya Plaza, Silom), but no retail price is published publicly. We have therefore not put a baht figure on this page, and will update it once there is a source we can point to.
