ResortNakhon Ratchasima (Khao Yai) · Northeast
A Jack Nicklaus Signature course in Khao Yai with mountain views and cool air, set within a luxury resort. Perfect for a weekend golf trip from Bangkok.
Overview
Kirimaya Golf Resort is an 18-hole championship course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, set on foothill terrain in the Khao Yai area of Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima, with the mountain ranges of Khao Yai National Park as its backdrop. The layout follows the natural rolling landscape, blending with wetlands and native forest, which has earned it a reputation as one of the most nature-integrated courses in Thailand. Nicklaus’s own design team ranks it among their finest work in Asia.
Highlights & Signature Holes
- Hole 16 (Par 4) The signature hole, a dogleg curving through mature trees down to a green surrounded by water. It is considered one of the most beautiful holes in Nicklaus’s portfolio.
- Hole 13 (Par 3) Played across a broad wetland fringed with flowering plants and set against a mountain backdrop, it is one of the most photographed holes in the region.
- Hole 6 (Par 5) A dogleg-right hugging the hillside, offering a risk-and-reward chance for those bold enough to carry the bunker on their second shot.
Who it suits
Ideal for golfers seeking a high-quality resort-level course who want to play in a genuinely natural setting, from intermediate players to skilled golfers, as well as for weekend golf trips that combine relaxation with a round in the Khao Yai area.
Before you go
The drive from Bangkok takes about two to three hours along the Mittraphap Highway, making it well suited for either a day trip or an overnight stay. The mountain air in late rainy season and early winter is pleasantly cool with vivid green scenery. Booking tee times in advance is recommended, especially over long holiday weekends.
Green fees are estimates and may change by day, season and promotion — please confirm with the course before you travel.
